You cannot give in to this illogical behaviour. The best you can do is to ignore the disapproving looks and side glances and go about your life looking straight ahead. It will be hard but you cannot submit to irrationality.

Oh, the looks of themselves bother me not at all. I use them as possible indicators and only mentioned them to share that there are those that truly believed in them, or at least can not handle a noncomplier.

This is so freaking silly. The barrier is the height of ridiculousness. Wow. I have to just stare at it as it reminded me of the lucite barriers some of the convenience stores put up.

This reminds me of a joke, where you see a guy walking in a desert...and he is dragging a car door with him. You can tell he is out of breath from the exertion, and someone passes by him and asks, "What's with the car door?"

"It's in case it gets too hot, then I can roll the window down."

I know the joke is an old variation of the politically incorrect jokes of the past. But it fits in this situation.

Similarly..during nursing class, the instructor goes into a lecture on how respiratory airborne viruses work. How they can stay afloat for hours and permeate a room. And the instructor stops as someone walks in with a lucite barrier, places it on their desk, along with all their books. The instructor continues...talking about room ventilation, airborne travel, particle size etc. then finally has to stop and ask the nursing student and asks "What is the barrier for?"

She says through her mask "It is to protect against viral transmission."

SEP field. Yes! Love the Douglas Adams reference.

Once again reality has beat you to the punch line. The barriers in the photo are the same used in the school cafeteria. In the cafeteria, however diners must sit diagonally across from each other, even with these barriers and, different classes of students have different times they can use the cafeteria. No mixing and mingling between the nursing and medical students nor between the different years.

Yes, convenience stores still have their clear barriers. Fast food shops have them between the individual seats and even across group tables. So far the only place I have seen them removed is the student lounge at Monday’s vocational school.

After 18 months being the only maskless person at a different nursing school and treated no different that I was before the panic, they suddenly demanded I wear a mask. I refused. So they brought in a clear plastic barrier with its own stand and placed it on the podium. All classes after that for that school were over Zoom. Again, these are medical and nursing schools.

Oh, on the dystopia video and the killing off of the cows to save the planet from climate change, did you catch that Dutch farmers launched a massive protest against their government? The Dutch government announced that it was going to seize massive amounts of farm land for the sole purpose of idling it to save the planet from climate change. We have allowed ourselves to be ruled by lunatics.

Bare-Faced Plague-Spreader's avatar

I agree completely.

My one prevailing thought about rice, cows, and forests being destroyed is...weren't we initially fighting to prevent the extinction of these things, and now they want to limit them...essentially creating crises where none existed before because they are saying that the environment is dangerous for the environment. By the way, I agree that there are parts to the environment far more dangerous than humans. Volcanoes for instance are very destructive as are hurricanes.

These officials have taken control of governments the way petulant if not at times well meaning children have taken control of car steering wheels, and they need to be rested out of power. In fact, maybe the wheel needs to have one of those "clubs" attached to it to prevent them from "turning the wheels of government" bevause they have steered us into oncoming traffic.

Few will.

Finally got some seeds for micro greens, trays and jute mats but have yet been able to make a place for them.

One thing that I have been concerned about for a years or so is securing a safe water supply. There are a great many different types of water filtration systems but I am having difficulty finding information on what to look for. Distilling works for killing nasty microbes but I am not so sure it can remove pollutants. If I recall correctly, aboard ship we did not use our distillers within a certain distance from shore due to various kinds of pollution.

I've been thinking about that for the last few months, too. We have plenty of rain water collection, but the rain water falls from our roof, and we have tons of birds, mice, and rats in our neck of the woods, and so have never used our roof water to drink and have purchased spring water once our supply of free spring water stopped (the man who kindly supplied it to the general public to take away in their own containers got spooked by our NZ government's pushing new rules for water distribution and consumption, making suppliers liable for major fines, etc. It's all part of herding the public into lifestyles that can be completely controlled by gubmint tyrants). So no more free spring water.

I did some research, and found the following information. We happen to live only 200 yards from a white pine forest reserve. So this will probably be our fall back water purification system when we are not allowed to purchase water from the local supermarket, due to our being "punished" for, oh, anything like refusing a toxic vaccine or failing to wear a face diaper in public, or making a disparaging comment on social media about whoever our WEF "Dear Leader" is at the time.

And then don't forget sunlight (UV light). It is well documented that solar energy can be an effective means of cleaning contaminated water. This is because ultraviolet (UV) light destroys the formation of DNA linkages in microorganisms, thereby preventing them from reproducing and thus rendering them harmless. The cheapest and easiest way to disinfect water? Sunlight. Just leave a clear glass bottle out in the sun for six hours. Solar water disinfection is an age-old method for areas where access to clean water is limited. UV rays in the sunlight tear apart the microbes to make water safe.

Kitsune, Maskless Crusader.'s avatar

Thanks. Back when I wore masks in an attempt to reduce my suffering from hay fever, I carried three masks with me and hung the one in use in the sunlight coming through window while inside for this very reason. However, this may not be a straight forward as we think.

As a recovered fountain pen and fountain pen ink addict, I would either choose inks that were advertised as being bottled in UV safe bottles or I would decant, yes that is the word we use for our beloved inks, them into UV safe bottles. UV is strong. It is why the plastic clothes pins we use for hanging out laundry to dry shatter or crumble away after not so long in the sun. UV rays bleach out photographs and, we believe anyway, will adversely affect the dyes and pigments in our inks.

Before I were to depend upon water treated with sunlight only, I would want to ensure the jars and bottles used to contain it during this treatment were not of the type of glass used to protect against UV. I am thinking that there must be a simple, effective and inexpensive way to test this but I have not looked into this yet. It may not even be an issue.

What I am more concerned with is chemicals from industry and farm runoff. Being a mountainous country, Japan has rivers and steams all over the place. However, there is also an abundance of sources for contamination. I’m thinking distillation should remove these but I do not know. Are there other ways to remove such pollutants?

Moonspinner's avatar

The vast majority of inexpensive glass bottles allow UV light in (UVA, that is; glass blocks UVB rays). House windows that are treated in order to prevent most of the UV light inside are expensive. Most glass bottles holding such things are preserves, olives, and veggies that one can buy in the supermarket are not treated to withstand UV light.

I haven't researched other ways of removing industrial chemicals from water. I do pay attention to what Viktor Schauberger wrote about how water purifies itself via the vortex motion in rivers and streams. I recently purchased a magnetic stirrer, as it recreates the vortex movement that Schauberger referenced:

https://www.amazon.com/WEST-TUNE-Magnetic-Brushless-Black-White(No/dp/B0BG51SYGM?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1

With "grid down" situations coming in the near future (the better for the cabal to roll out their CBDC and move people out of their country properties and into the smart cities), many of us won't be in a position to stay on our private property and worry about how to treat water. The NZ gubmint bureaucrats are already talking and publishing white papers about "managed retreat" from the coasts of NZ, with the excuse being "rising ocean levels due to climate change" (while many billionaires who are running this One World Order scam, such as Gates, Zuckerberg, and Obama, have bought estates and mansions RIGHT on the ocean in California and Hawaii, respectively; we peons are suppose to ignore that anomaly). If you force people to move far away from the coasts, you remove an important source of fish and shellfish food for many Kiwis. No doubt that's all part of the cabal's plan to control our food sources.

I'm rather sure that here in NZ, there will be a planned (intentional) "hoof and mouth disease" breakout, as an excuse to cull thousands and even millions of sheep, cattle, and pigs. Wonder why I suspect that? Six months before globalist Prime Minister Jacinda "I am your one source of truth" Ardern resigned (just before the stats were published showing the huge excess mortality in NZ that occurred after the Covid vaccine rollout), she announced that she was tightening border restrictions in order to protect NZ from the emerging threat of hoof and mouth disease, as it has the potential to "threaten up to 100,000 jobs in New Zealand's agriculture sector." One of the common ways to "protect" against hoof and mouth disease is to cull tens of thousands of healthy animals, to ensure they don't get the disease and then spread it (such as happened in Britain in 2001, when millions of cattle and sheep were slaughtered, much of them healthy). It just so happens that NZ's Biosecurity Minister is Damien O'Connor, who was the only Kiwi to attend the World Economic Forum's meeting in Davos in January. Can you just see how easy it would be to force NZ's farmers to kill off NZ's meat sources by rolling out a hoof and mouth disease panic? And to add icing to the WEF's cake, many dogs would be killed, too, as they can sometimes be a source of spread of the virus. If you pay attention to the many videos that the WEF produces regarding their vision of our future, in our 5-minute "smart cities," notice that there are no dogs or pets shown. Cats and dogs are meat eaters, and remember that "You'll eat much less meat; an occasional treat, not a staple."

That was exactly what I was wondering about, are the bottles and jars that hold what we buy at the supermarket treated for UV or not. I could easily expect that they were not or that they all were but did not know, thanks.

We are seeing preparations for exactly what you say here. A wrote somewhere how a few years before the panic I walked into the faculty lounge at the med school to here two of my esteemed colleagues going on and on about antivaxxers. I remember thinking to myself, “Where did this come from?” A short time later I saw and interview with someone from Obama’s administration stating that the resurgence of onece eradicated diseases in the US was due to antivaxxers, to which I yelled at the screen; “No, it’s due to allowing in huge amounts of disease illegals in to the country.!” Even then they were allowing, inviting illegals in without any medical screening what so ever and sending kids all over the country and dropping them off at schools country wide. I thought then that they were working to collapse our health care system by overwhelming it with diseases brought in and spread by these invented illegals and the institution of Obama care. After several years of bad matching antivaxxers, we have a large portion of the country already armed with hatred for anyone who questions vaccines ready to pounce on one and all who question the clot shot. Many such cases if only we look with a critical eye.

They are actively attacking the food supply from production/catching, to transport, storage and sales points. The damage from the lockdowns alone is enough to cause wide spread death and already has in the poorest regions of the globe. While I do not know all the routes and interaction of the food supply chain, my instincts have proven correct with the egg crisis. When the cost of eggs shot up in the US I warned my wife to prepare for the same here. She shot that down with a compelling argument, chickens and eggs ad raised/produced domestically and eggs at least do not travel well. Still, I had my doubts which have been borne out. Turns out, chicken feed is not a domestic product and the world wide shortage of it has created the shortage of egged we are now facing. My thinking of how the egg shortage would effect us was wrong but the over all concern that it would effect us was correct. Of course, we now have avian flu compelling the culling of many chickens here too.

Everything we are experiencing shortages of now were destroyed during the lockdowns as the producers had no way to get them to market. All this is artificially created and universally so. It is not an accident.

For water and food, I am attempting to learn both what can be done at a homestead and on the move. Stationary targets will be the first hit.

Keep up the good fight Kitsune! I'm encouraged that tourists are returning to Japan, perhaps this will help convince the sheep that it is safe to go unmasked again.

Kitsune, Maskless Crusader.'s avatar

Yes, tourists returning is very encouraging. I am not sure in them convincing the sheep to drop the mask. It could have the opposite affect. You see, Japan, left alone, is the very definition of heaven on Earth. No discord, no breach of harmony every existed in the land until Perry came and opened the land with his Black Ships and their great guns. Sadly, far too many take what i just wrote as the absolute truth, many westerners too, I must add.

Just as we in the West like to place the blame for all our problems upon other certain groups, in Japan they blame gaijin for all that is less than perfect here. Not all, of course but many. Those who do not however, do not want to be thought of as a foreigner and may fear they will be if they follow the lead of tourists.

We’ll see.
