Excellent Job Offer……..

I just received a call from a medical university.  A former boss asked me if he could send them my CV and they called me for an interview.  However, masks are mandated on medical school campuses, so I as compelled to decline the interview.

What has been observed in masking percentages are for me, too little too late.    I have still only seen a few businesses where all on shift were unmasked but still see many where all are still masked.  In the food court I am typing this in, there are four restaurants.  All employees in all 4 are masked.  Even if my Japanese ability allowed, I can not even get a job in a convenience store or ramen shop as all I see are still requiring masks.

I needed, no need, the job this opportunity made possible.  But as I told the school on the phone, I can not work through a mask.  The end.
