IT NEVER ENDED
And is on it’s way back.
So much going on and I feel like writing about none of it. About 3 weeks ago I learned that one of my bosses’ kid was sent home from elementary school right after he arrived there. Too many students called in sick with flu/Covid like symptoms so the whole 6th grade was sent home and told to stay there (quarantine) for about a week. I fog the exact umber of days. Very shortly afterwards, we get an email my our oldest’s school giving similar information about the entire 3rd grade at their school. A week after that we see a schoolmate and swim team teammate that we see weekly as we wait for the bus. She was wearing a mask for the first time n a long time. We talked about, my kid and I, and she is in the 3rd grade and was required t wear a mask. Her grandfather was not masked.
Thus it was with my med school students last week. While a couple previously masked students went bare faced, others who earlier dropped the mask were wearing them again. Obviously, among those who had stopped wearing masks are those who did so based upon something other than a loss of faith in them. This seems to be confirmed by observations of masking with parents of the other kids at my 10 year old’s swim school. Waiting to pick up our kids after swim practice last Thursday almost all the mothers were masked again. Even those who had not been for quite some time. When dropping my kid off at the pool last night, I saw another father I often see there. He was the first to drop the mask (myself, I never wore one to drop) but he was wearing one again. Despite the more unobscured faces observed in recent weeks, I do not think masks ever went away. I have yet to see with my own eyes and completely crew at any business unmasked but still many fully masked shifts. And of course, all the school kids I see today on the trains are masked.
Yesterday we received another email from school. There are cases of cofluvid in a class in the. 6th grade, thus all students of that class must quarantine at home for two days. At the end of the lengthy communication is the following paragraph, machine translated by myself.
“I would like to ask all the parents of 6th grade class 3 students. Children attending school today will be given a form containing a QR code for health monitoring. We apologize for the inconvenience, but in order to understand your child's health status as of October 12th (Thursday), please fill out the form questionnaire. We will contact you regarding children who are absent today or are leaving school early.”
I invite you to make of this what you will and ask that you share with a here, but to me, it looks more and more like Covid was nothing more nor less than the excuse to get all clot shotted and in the QR Code controlled social credit digital prison.
To highlight just how Japan has changed in the past 20 years, I’ll share the following.
Years ago, from 2000 to 2002, I taught at an Eikawa (English Conversation) school. This first episode such as I will momentarily share was quite a shock. The evening classes were always full as most of our students attended class after work. One evening as I entered the classroom my eyes fell upon a young “salary man” fresh from the office who looked as if her was dead and had been for some time. I ask if he was okay and in a faint, raspy voice he replied, “I have flu.” I jumped back and either did say or was tempted to say, not ask as the punctuation would indicate, but say, “Why are you here?” Then I recalled a change in how I was treated in the dojo when it was learned that I “skipped” a practice due to flu like symptoms. Despite the yelling that goes on face mask to face mask, one does not “skip” practice due to “Kaze”, which is often mistranslated as “a cold” but in reality actually contains flu and other flu like illnesses.
A few years ago one of the many flu epidemics we has had in Japan during my 20+ years here forced a change. With hindsight I am now inclined to think it was used to force a change. Whichever is true, suddenly to get the flu meant a week long banishment to the confines of one’s domicile. Much of what was novel for the would outside of Japan and possible other Asian lands, I have witnessed firsthand for a number of years before the current panic. A meeting with my double masked boss was cut short when admin came running in with his flu test results. He was sent home mid meeting for a week. And the school was made at him. I have had to cancel all my classes for a week two different years to stay home with my young child, a toddler at the time, when they caught the flu….despite getting the flu shot. Hand sanitizer has long since been a feature at the entrance to many public buildings. These policies have been in overdrive along with the addition of masking rules and all the rest for Covid and now for seasonal flu.
Peanut brained sorry excuses for human beings in power around the world have been talking about lockdowns for every flu season. We need to fight these imbeciles before they realize their fetish, not after, and lock us down again. (Tech mishap alert) I just saw it actually happen. Despite being as careful as I can when typing and proof reading before posting, I am appalled at the typos and mis wordings of what I post. I often find that I need to edit comments that others have liked or commented upon. I just now saw the word “their” that I had typed correctly change to “they’re”. I paused for a sip of coffee and was looking at the screen and saw it happen. Now back to the topic at hand. We must start pushing back against this madness now before they lock us down again. I think we are very close to that. Why bother to have kids enrolled in in-person classes when as soon as a handful get the seasonal illness, be it flu or whatever, the whole class or whole school year are sent home for a couple of days to a week? These mental midgets only do what we allow. Let’s not allow them to do this again.

This rally speech is from 2021, but I was just going it over it today to put it in the lineup for a spotlight on my substack. I thought it might speak to some of your readers. Many blessings and good wishes.

SENATOR DOUG MASTRIANO: Can you believe we have experts in their field being fired because of a mandate? And what about natural immunity? Why is that off the table?
WOMAN'S VOICE: [inaudible] Free speech!
SENATOR DOUG MASTRIANO: Free speech as well. I mean, is this Soviet Russia that you'd be investigated for having an opinion? Really? So this is how far we've gone. And we have to stand. And you are modern day heroes, you're, you're putting a lot on the line by standing up against the man, the establishment, the beast. But you're modern day Americans here and you can change the course of history. Don't despair. I do believe we'll prevail in the end, but it comes comes with great sacrifice and great risk. But you're heroes to me.
The next speaker we have is a hero to Pennsylvania, I mean, ah, we do have some great champions in this building here, you've heard from a couple of them. The next one is Representative Dawn Keefer from York County, representing the great 92nd district.
[applause]
[to Dawn W. Keefer] Thank you.

REPRESENTATIVE DAWN W. KEEFER: Thank you, Senator, for leading this charge, and thank you all for being out here today. It's very encouraging, and thank you for standing strong.
Medicine is not one-size-fits-all, right? We all know what's best for our bodies and let us work with our health care providers. But when I have health care providers coming to me, coming into my office, frustrated that they took a Hippocratic Oath and they are being forced to work against everything that they have known to be true, when they are writing, writing, ah, instructions on a tablet, not putting then in your charts for fear that their charts are being reviewed and they're getting disciplined.
Why are we are not treating? Right? Why can't we treat for this? If you have inflammation give me anti-inflammatories, if you can't breathe, you give asthmatic medicine. This is what we've always done. Natural immunity, herd immunity, this is all scientifically based. But if you don't go along with the narrative that they have now, right, they silence you all. So I commend you all for being here, for standing up, for not being silenced, because that's the problem right now, everybody's being silenced.
And I know there's a lot on the line. And I, and I appreciate the bill that our the senator has here. But if you think Harrisburg is going to save you from this, you are sorely mistaken. It's not coming. It's not getting through. This is going to take personal agency. This is going to be you fighting. There are risks, we don't know what all of those are, but you have to stand up and fight.
Why am I not advocating for the vaccine? Because I don't know what your health circumstances are. It's irresponsible for me to do that. It's not one size fits all.
[applause]
It's very irresponsible to do.
[applause]
So we have to start using commonsense. We need to get back to the science that they always, you know, are championing. What about the science? There's no science in this.
The governor just issued the mask, said that I'm going to lift the mask mandate. Now first, remember, he said, I didn't do it, I didn't do it, the Secretary of Health, or the acting Secretary of Health, she issued this school mask mandate. But something magical's going to happen on January, I think it's 17th or something? Seventeenth, somehow, some way, school boards are now going to have capacity to make those health decisions and safety decisions for the schools. Something magical's going to happen on the 17th of January, I guess the virus is really a smart virus and it knows.
So so again, so this is the kind of a tyranny that we have. And unless you stand up, unless you make sure that your voice is heard, unless you start taking actions to protect your health, to protect your children, to protect your family, you will get double downed on this.
So your jobs are at risk, are at stake, and I get that. And I don't know where everybody's at personally, but these, you gotta to figure out, what hill are you willing to die on?
We have a, a crisis right now in our healthcare facilities, we don't have the manpower, with or without these mandates that they have, we already are short-staffed. So this mass exodus that they're about ready to witness in Pennsylvania, is going to cripple us. When you call 911 and nobody answers the phone, what are you going to do?
Nobody has thought this out. They thumbed their nose at all of you, saying, you know, it's not a big deal, when the date comes, you'll all acquiesce, you'll all come around, right, you'll get the jab, and it'll all be good, it's just that little minority. And that's what the attorneys have been telling the school boards, that's what they've been telling their their companies, right, just do it, people will come around.
You have to decide, are you going to coming around?
CROWD: NO!
REPRESENTATIVE DAWN W. KEEFER: Everybody needs to fight, we have your back, we're going to continue to do everything that we can to to stand with you, to fight against this. But this is going to take all of us, all of us, locking arms and working together to push back against this. This is your constitutional right, your bodily autonomy, right? These are fundamentals.
[applause]
And if you concede on this, it's just the first step. It's just the first step. So stand strong and fight. Thank you all.
[applause, cheers]

I was at the pharmacy earlier today and found this display at the front of the store.

They've extended the expiration dates six months, based on what 'science' I have no idea. I didn't take any of these bogus tests. There was also a big display reminding everyone to get a flu shot, something else I ignored. Madness!
