This is sad to hear Crusader. I hope you can find some loop-hole or workaround. The entire world is being squeezed and compressed hard, by a band of Kabbalistic psychopaths finally able to have their way entirely, having bought off or inserted their minions at nearly all "leadership" levels in all the once great nations.
Where will it end? How will it end? When will it end? I think we still control that lever. All I know is, life will not be the same for any person on the planet once this bloodbath begins, and many of us will be gone. Valhalla or Victory.
There is only one certainty and that is how this ends. It ends with violence. The only question is against whom and the answer to that question answers the question of who wins. Personally, I am not optimistic. We needed to stop this decades ago but failed. Do not take this to mean I am defeatist. I am not. If physically able, i will strike and strike hard at each and every target that presents itself. I just know that doing so will be in defense of my own soul as we have failed to form the organization needed to defend us as a whole.
However, the temptation that overcame many a sailor on doom stricken vessels to break into the spirit room and drink themselves into oblivion is a strong one. Komai!
Great response, and we are indeed kin on your answer. Having once been a real world, young warrior, I too will trudge in to battle against forces we can barely imagine.
Please do not offer too many "campai's" in the watering establishments. We all need a very clear head, there are far, far more difficult times ahead for the people of decency and honor. Japan and Russia may be the two last exemplars of proud Nationalism, America fell long ago. You were wise to leave.
Ah, but there in lies a rub. One can not leave the US. The US has its tentacles stretched across the world and whether they know it or not, all US persons are in its grasp.
While the meaning is different, deeper down it is the same. In the navy we had a saying, “You can take the Philippine out of the Philippines but not the Philippines out of the Philippine.” While this was usually said in a derogatory manner, I took it at face value and as truth that many probably wish were not true. But I digress. In our case, you can physically leave the US but you can not leave whatever the US demands of you.
I hear what you say about keeping a clear mind. But I must disagree for the very reasons you give. The first watch underway is called the suicide watch. Except for those who had duty the day before we get underway, there is not a single sober watch stander in the engine room and I believe anywhere aboard the ship. One never returns to the ship sober. A sober person knows better than return to ship. We must get drunk so that our sailor sense kicks in and guides us, staggering, back to the boat.
No sane person can face what we must sober. Reading about various clergy who fought in the civil war and since and those who spread the good word to to sick and in war zones, I would have said that could sober but not after they let us down so horribly over covid. A few, too few did as expected. Far too many just did as instructed by those who are in evil’s employ.
If I can run my engines inebriated, by God I can stand up to this in the same state. Though, it is a bit of a catch 22, as in the one from the book. Have you read it? As one who has served in the military, I cam tell you that it is far closer to real than most may want to admit.
On Russia. I am no fan of Putin. However, if he did in Mexico what we are doing in Ukraine, I would expect that we should react little different from how he has.
If not there yet, I am becoming a fatalist. I have been forever been battling set backs but have always had hope. There was always a way forward. Not now. All that remains is THE battle.
Aye, I hear you. I will of course renounce US citizenship upon exit, but that malignant beast (I guess my taxes and productivity helped build) has long tentacles. I get it good sir.
Look, I have lost every shibboleth a man can lose. Final one was the "delicacy and honor of women!" I have wandered and wallowed in every Neitszchean abyss, and jumped from one of Dante's Rings to the next, then climbed back out. I have done it all SOBER. I take no pain relief, except a mild analgesic called Devil's Claw, when I have ridden or hiked too many mountain miles. I seek no relief from reality.
Not hear? when noise was everywhere! it tolled
Increasing like a bell. Names in my ears
Of all the lost adventurers my peers,—-
How such a one was strong, and such was bold,
And such was fortunate, yet, each of old
Lost, lost! one moment knelled the woe of years.
XXXIV.
There they stood, ranged along the hill-sides, met
To view the last of me, a living frame
For one more picture! in a sheet of flame
I saw them and I knew them all. And yet
Dauntless the slug-horn to my lips I set,
And blew. ``Childe Roland to the Dark Tower came.''
Again I hear you. And I am not actually arguing against you, merely tossing ideas and experiences back and forth and jesting at some level. But it was true in my time that you did not return to the boat sober. Returning to hell is not something a sober person would ever chose to do. Sober people know better.
That said, despite the history of issuing liquid courage in one form or another to men just before battle is not something I advocate. The fight we have before us is in like any man has ever experienced. Is alcohol required to stand for it? For some it will not hurt. Others it would be of grave detriment. For me, I don’t know. I know that it and incense are the two things I have left that bring some degree of peace in my daily life. There is another, spiritual, that is more powerful and thus harder for me to access, but that is due to a certain weakness I have that runs counter to it. Can say no more on that matter.
We have a fight ahead of. A fight we should have already fought and won, but because we have not, it will be unlike any other.
This is crazy, having fragments emerge after three decades, glad to hear it is finally resolving.
Concerning your work, it also sounds like a dirty way of dealing with you while not having to confront you directly. They think this problem will resolve itself.
I am out of the hospital, signed a settlement for my belongings and am in a personal care home. I have at least gotten some measure of stability it appears.
Great news! I hope the settlement is as it should be. The stability is also important. Thank God.
This employer has been my best supporter in many ways. The genesis for the letter is in fact government action. They are a business and must abide the law regardless of what it requires of them.
Well, yes, the problem will get resolved but that is not to say it will in a way that is good for me.
Yikes, sorry that you've been going through a rough time!
I'm surprised that your dentist didn't take some x-rays to get a sense of how many more fragments are below the surface. Depending on the size, state, and/or location (4mm or bigger, infected, near an artery or nerve, etc.), the dentist will need to remove them.
I have looked into this. Hard to discern tooth and bone fragments against bone and teeth. The dentist asked if the problem was resolved and thinking it was, I answered yes. Unlike MDs, he informs me and lets me decide the next step ot course of action. This is on me.
Regarding the crushing of small, independent businesses, I remember seeing a political speech/demonstration at Tachikawa station about about two months ago, memorable because unlike the retirees active at election time, it was younger people ... mostly musicians.
I am guessing it is related to the new laws. By chance, or more likely by design, Corporate Capitalism will swallow and/or marginalize independent artists to the point that only the larvae of the ruling class will be able to afford pursuing the fine arts and performing arts ... as a hobby, diversion, or social dimension in their game of thrones ... much like the feudal courts of pre-industrial Europe.
As I mentioned over beer, I am guessing an inevitable move in this cat-and-mouse game is for like-minded people to form "corporate" co-ops, and to have some protection of any potential assets, the nominal boss should not be American.
Will chat with a friend about how struggling artists are dealing with this.
Cheers K, and keep that tooth anesthetized with a mug of Japan's finest.
May you be feeling ever better!
Thank you. Some good beer my wife found helps immensely.

Dental problems are the worst! I'm glad that you have a good dentist, that's half the battle.
Dental pain is unique. Even when not so bad it has a distracting power that nothing else seems to have.
Hope you are feeling better soon K.
