Regular posting behind schedule.
As my last post tells, we recently lost or eldest cat, Foo. She had long been given special food for her kidney condition and this was no longer sufficient to keep them functioning. She started to lose wait weight roughly a year ago. Since then we tried many different foods as she eventually stopped eating her kidney helping food altogether. She became so thin, losing 200 grams a day in body weight that I had to feed her every 20 minutes to arrest the weight loss, eventually helping her regain 100 grams a day for a short while. A bladder infection and what turned out to be a tumor in her bladder sealed her fate and after a week of my wife and I relieving each other every six hours through the night, she passed away 1 hour after I was relived from the watch. Never a good time for such things, but as mr. Murphy would have it, Foo passed away in the early morning hours of my busiest work day in an entire year, the start of the busiest work week in a year. 3 hours in aggregate of sleep before 8 hours online as a simulated patient for 4th year medical students is just not the way to go. After my last med student for the day finished at 5:45 pm, we took Foo’s remains to the pet cemetery. Did not get to bed until after midnight.
Thus, I am exhausted and my follow up post on my last covid related post will be later than I anticipated. Please stand by.

Sorry to hear about the death of your cat, and as per Murphy's Law, it does happen at the most inopportune of times.
Snoopy was the name of our first family cat. He hated long car rides, and over the years of his existence, he had his leg either mauled by another animal (he was an outside cat) or maybe a car ran over his leg. We used to joke that he was a thousand dollar cat, but I think the cost to set his leg was closer to three thousand dollars.
We'd bring Snoopy in on particularly cold nights to hang out in the Laundry room. He was affectionate, but not overly so, and as far as I remember never would bite, hiss, or claw at any of us as soon cats do after no long appreciating the petting.
Pets are family members, and you can tell a lot about a person by the way they treat pets, old people, and children. I hope you cherish the good memories.
so sorry for the loss of your precious family member.
