Even if it's discovered, the face garments do more harm than good, some will not take them off. It'S like Linus from Peanuts with his darn blanket.

It sure has become that. Swamy preexfather in law on the way into work this morning. He waved from across the Kaido. He was again wearing a mask. He hadn’t been for quite a while.

Where pray tell is this restaurant and med school???

Are they frozen in time?

I just returned from a short term medical mission trip of 2 weeks to Ghana, working with Ghanaians in outpatient outreach clinics and we didn’t even bother testing for COVID, recognizing that between acquired natural immunity and weakened virility of the newer variants that there was no real need to test or treat for the most part (& zinc, IVERMECTIN AND/or HCQ + vitamin C and D would be sufficient should we suspect it).

I should add that they are not frozen in time, they are stuck on stupid.

I agree with this sentiment.

Tokyo, Japan. Masks are still required by all inside the hospital proper. And not just at this one hospital, at my other one as well and, I believe, all through out the land. Most customer service employees still wear masks, even auto mechanics, bus, and taxi drivers. I am supposed to but haven’t.

Culture is a funny thing. There is absolutely no reason to do any of that stuff. Evidence before, during and after the ‘pandemic’ has established that. I am glad that I am out of the daily grind (though I miss not caring for my patients).

Culture plays a part, but Japan was one of the last countries to do anything at all about Covid. They started off doing as should be done, isolate the sick, quarantine those who may have come in to contact with them and leave everyone else alone to carry on with their lives. Then, the decided to jump on the band wagon bound for crazy town. The only Japanese cultural aspect in play in the early days was masking, which was bad enough.

Roger Kimber, MD's avatar

Each country it seems had its own way of going to crazy town. I think Sweden was the lone exception.

Kitsune, Maskless Crusader.'s avatar

Yes, but they all went to the same place. Never in human history has so many countries adopted the exact same methods to deal with common problems. All adopted border closures, internal travel restrictions, masking, testing, school closures, unsocial distancing, remote learning, lock downs and “vaccinations”, differing only in timing and degree, except Sweden. Most unnatural.

How each country compelled their populations to comply differed by culture. Many correctly pointed out that Japan did not mandate masking, merely recommended it. However, they do not realize that with statistical 100% compliance, Japan’s recommendation was stronger than many countries’ mandates.

Peer pressure is a real thing. It is also a loophole.

And Belarus.

Forgot about them. Did the refuse from the get go or come around to sanity. The Czech Republic and I think Slovenia also came around earlier than most, though I may have the timeline wrong.

Notice, unlike 2nd smartest man in the world,I did not ban you for daring to add corrective information.

It's been more than 6 years since the Scandemic scared people with no discernment to run to there doctor to get the bio wep vaccine in which has inflicted grevious bodily harm to millions worldwide and yet here in Japan they still believe it exists in it's natural form which is totally bogus it only exists in people who took the Vaccine who are constantly are having health issues Turbo cancers blood clots and many other heart issues

I was here from the very start of this Covid panic never wore a paper diaper on my face or have ever been sick from Covid and yes I'm not vaxxed it was a lie and total fear porn propaganda and it's about time people in Tokyo and Japan learn the truth about what these Vaccines really are

Paper Masks do nothing to protect you from the Shedding Vaccinated

Pfizer Confirms Covid-Vaccinated People Can “Shed” Spike Protein and Can Harm the Unvaccinated https://sunnylanblog.wordpress.com/2022/01/22/pfizer-confirms-covid-vaccinated-people-can-shed-spike-protein-and-can-harm-the-unvaccinated/

Time for Japan to wake up to the truth about the lies they have been told by there government.

Kitsune, Maskless Crusader.'s avatar

Oh, I do soooo agree. But they won’t. They refuse to.

Rarely saw any masks en route either.

It fluctuates between 20% and 30% of those I see on the train and on the street still wearing masks. This includes foreigners who live here or here as tourists. Lots of kids still wearing masks. My kids had to wear them for 4 1/2 years.

Most employees dealing with the public are still masked. Often it is the entire crew of a restaurant, coffee house or bar who are masked, sometimes one or two are not and rarely only one or two which are not. The entire staff unmasked is rarer still.

In some cases, it is obvious that the mask-wearing is mandatory. There's a bakery i USED to go to, but I haven't seen the staff's faces in 5 years. So I stopped going.

There is only one coffee house that I am relatively certain the employer mandates masks.others,I am less so. As an elderly student pointed out to me years ago, it is common for the sempai at convenience stores to dictate the hair styles of her female Kohai.
