I fear my replies may not reflect this, but please know all those who have commented, your remarks were well received and help more than can be expressed.

There are a few I have not yet replied to. It is late here. For the first time in three years and three months I have to get at 6am to make a 9am class. Everything is packed and thrice checked. am enjoying my last beer for the night and a stick of exceptionally exquisite Japanese incense before the shower and rack. Much calmer than I had dared hoped, just before retiring for the night. Thank you all for indulging in me getting this off my chest before I exploded.

I pray you don't get made a martyr of for the same of this foolishness. Kids do get sick sometimes I believe it is nature's healing way. But with politics injected I pray the hospital protocols are better than in the USA!

Every one there expect for my kid and I were masked. The clear plastic barrier between us and the staff was still there in both the clinic and pharmacy. No different from when I took there over a week ago for his cough. I observe absolutely no difference between before and after the official ending of the covid BS. All is as it was. Earlier today I went to the super market. The cashiers are still fortified behind clear plastic sheeting with mics and speakers so we can hear each other. Can’t understand them, but at least can hear them. Of course the cashiers are still masked and wearing gloves. Same at the post office today too, except no microphones and speakers. Same at the drug store. Not a damned thing has changed except for my blood pressure.

hope your son feels better soon.

Kitsune, Maskless Crusader.'s avatar

Thanks. That’s the bizarre thing, he feels fine. Just has to go to the toilet all the time.

Maybe the fermented meat. Takes time for the microbiome to adjust. Stay as calm as possible with the masking ordeal, the slaves love bondage.

The anger in my reply is not directed at you. My kid can’t understand what what is being said. 3 years out of 9 is 3 years too many, now his 4th year of elementary school has just started and all his classmates except one and his teacher are still masked. This needs to stop NOW.

I'm not a slave and am not thinking you direct any energy towards me. You are living in a large city full of slaves who will soon be eating bugs. Any anger will be wasted on them. The crusader will be in jail as you suggest or worse, your son fatherless. Leave this city for one less like slaves. That's my comment, obviously you can think and do what you want seems you understand some of the potential circumstances. Sorry for bothering you..

You, sir, are no bother.

Not everyone has gone insane mate. Harder for you because Japan is so rigid in its thinking and its both a strength and weakness

Not everyone, yes I know. But everyone I deal with has.

I've veen 6 times and while I love visiting I could never live there, its like I'm a prisoner in my own head.

Theres the right way Japanese/masses and the wrong way everything else.

For what its worth your anger is a sign of a good man, justified by your love of your child and your humanity to see him grow and thrive.

Patience and stoicism are yoyr inherited strengths. Bare the pain a little longer, the world needs clear thinkers.

Kitsune, Maskless Crusader.'s avatar

How long were you here each time?

BTW. In the beginning, I was glad as could be that I was in Japan. Australia, New Zealand, most of Europe and the the US went full on lockdown with fines for not masking, neighbors calling the police on neighbors for violating illegal mandates. Then for reason that I would to verify, Japan implemented the same but in their own way. And as Japan is Japan, and unlike most other countries, they do not have a way out of their self imposed madness.

damon mcclure's avatar

Just a few weeks each visit, my late brothers children were there.

The problem with moving fast in a straight line is the inability to alter direction when needed, this is the weakness of the Japanese. While acting as one hoard is a strength not so much when you're all running towards a cliff and our little voices are being drowned out in the "follow, don't question"

i.e.

I suspect old Abe got the shotgun exit to promote the next in line to toe their line?

Trust me Australia has also gone mad but they're starting to wake up, afterall where are all the antivaxxer bodies? Our media has just started reporting on the injuries, they have no choice we forced their grubby little hands by speaking out.

I haven't followed you long but your love of yor son shone through and I had to say hi and you are not alone. Just be careful getting too caught up with the sheep, you cannot rationalise someone out of an irrational "belief". You have to change their beliefs and to do that they have to think it was their own logic that got them there.

The two greatest gifts you can teach your son are the ability to critically think and love your family. I believe you are a success in life,

尊敬

Sonkei

Thanks. However, three years is more than enough. He, and all his age are already three behind in the full acquisition of their native tongue. Each and every day this is allowed is another day going the wrong direction.

damon mcclure's avatar

I agree.

I'm sorry for you mate, even more sorry for him.

The sociopathy is through all levels of society. I ran into a speech pathologist fresh out of university, when I raised the speech and learning red flags coming from America she literally said "its good, there will be plenty of work for me"

Punish them but do it cleverly, make it official and force their ugly faces into the light.

She has the same attitude as tax accountants dealing with US taxes have. They openly respond with glee each time the tax code is made more difficult. They are, in fact, through their lobbying organizations, behind many of the insane complication to the tax law. Not surprised that other “professions” are doing too. Madness.

Do any of the people there care!

I guess the answer is no, because I know what you are feeling.

Please hang in there.

Kitsune, Maskless Crusader.'s avatar

Oh, they care alright. They care about nothing else other than being different. They would rather die than be different.

A nation of conformists.

What a horrible place to live.

OK, let's make the best of it, calm down and turn that energy wasted in frustration to some kind of plan.
