I've thought about writing and illustrating a children's story called "Why Have All The Grown-Ups Gone Crazy?" or another one called "Is That Really A Good Idea?"

Both sound like great ideas!.

Fox Spirit, I cannot persuade you to move your family from a country that will always be closed to you. However, I can suggest you try Vitamin B2 and Quercetin to reduce your allergies.

Every country that masked for covid will always be closed to me. That leaves…..let’s see….Sweden which is over run by migrants. Thinking a of commandeering a small vessel and sail away to some far away island.

Will look into sourcing the allergie relief you recommend. Thanks.

I understand the sentiment. I am in the Midwest USA, and almost no one is wearing a mask. That is of little solace because even the smallest government provocation could be enough tip the country back into hypochondriatic repression. However, they're not wearing masks now, and the magic seems to have been lost. I read your Substack, Kitsune. The strengths of the Japanese culture make it particularly vulnerable to the self-imposed repression and xenophobia that has taken hold. What you describe is simply not happening here. You're describing something on the order of a conformist self-immolation. I understand your family may never agree to leave for another country. But don't lie to yourself. It's not the same everywhere. I'd rather be where I had a chance at making a difference than living in a place that was re-making itself into a kind of Eastern Terry Gilliam's Brazil.

After a certain period of time abroad, one realizes they simply cannot return to the States. I am in my 50s. I do not have a drivers license that I can use in the US. Nor do O have a driving history there that is all important for auto insurance. Nor do I have a credit history in the States and mine here, just as with my driving record, might as well not exist as far as the US and States are concerned. Being barely employed for two years now, I have so little savings I might not even be able to pay for a one way ticket back “home” to the States. Once there, I would be jobless, penniless and homeless.

Getting a driver's licence is easy and I don't think that you'd be jobless, but whether your wife and kids would be willing to move to the States is another matter :-(

Getting a DL is the easiest of these issues to solve. Can’t rent a car without a credit card. Can’t buy a car with no income, credit nor insurance.

Live somewhere with a good transit system until you start making so money. Or get a cheap car; there are plenty of good older cars still around, some for as little as one or two grand. Or live somewhere you can walk to work. Or get a job where you can work online. You wouldn't need a work visa, so the sky's the limit in that regard. I have no idea how easy it would be for your wife to find a job; I guess it would depend on her English skills and her profession.

Even in on the west coast of Canada, my neck of the woods AKA Land of the NPCs, hardly anyone is wearing masks anymore. Today I only saw two people all day, both of them elderly.

The real sticking point is your family, of course. And it would be a huge culture shock after all this time away.

SDG's Why is gender even on the list of "sustainably development goals?" But I think I understand part of the reasoning. If something as elementary as gender can ve questioned, and redefined, then so can everything else. If the concept of "living your truth" can usurp "the truth" then yes, everything can be seen as a social construct.

So then what are the institutuons if not also social constructs that can be redefined?

While this can lead to an easily manipulatable population, it can also lead to the very mechanisms that started this sunk costs train to derail and fall into a ravine.

The purpose of SDGs, ESG, DEI, the climate change scam, covid, the clot shots, LGBTQWTFO and all the rest is to destroy. First, Western culture and societies must fall as it was they who broke out of the old world order and spread freedom from oppressive governments. While you comment on sunk costs is true, it only helps further their aims.

While searching for the direct and shallower references to LGBTQWTFO on the SDG website, I found and took screen shots of the SDGs promoting full open borders and even Brandon’s direct flights of illegals from abroad to the US. That was going to be tonight’s posting but masks got in the way, as they are want to do.

Just as I feared, the children, the younger they are, the more pressure to conform. They'd have to put me in a funny farm, deeply sedated, a prison wouldn't do.

Kitsune, Maskless Crusader.'s avatar

For me, prison is looking preferable. It is the way I would get there that would make it better that the looney bin.

My actions would be so incredible, they couldn't be attributed to a sane man!

Kitsune, Maskless Crusader.'s avatar

Ah! I am in Japan. Such who do as you allude to, sway. I don’t think violent offenders here are fitted with “I love me jackets” and placed in a rubber room.

After I emptied 'clip' of 7.62X39 into a stack of masks piled on the floor, there's no telling what they would do.

Kitsune, Maskless Crusader.'s avatar

How dare you soil my stack with such a scene of violence! You’ll have TPTB rounding me up for not deleting it and banning you. What is wrong with you!?!? Shooting up masks!!!! The HORROR.

Would I love to be in your shoes! I would go to that school every day and call them fools, laugh in their faces, criticize their manhood. I just did this at the supermarket. All with a smile of course! They will never take my soul!
