You make a very great point. It is incumbent upon him to prove the efficacy, necessity, safety, and ease of use of the vaccine..

Unrelated , today I was listening to a doctor's podcast and he was observing that while the democrats were in office, they were making a huge stink about January 6th, and the Republicans were saying that it was not a big deal. Whereas now that the Republics are in office they are making a big deal about the suppression of free speech and t he democrats are saying "I don't see it."

The problem is, that the insurrection was not an insurrection. There was some violence, there was one death, but it was not an armed and violent taking of the "Cathedral." And sorry, but the "twitter files" etc. clearly show a suppression of free speech. So now, it's not the same depending on who is in power.

The jury is still out on the last line. If there are no indictments and trials with public discovery and guilty verdicts when appropriate and sentencing of a severity that matches the crimes, then it is all for show. Eric Holder was found to be in contempt of Congress and nothing other than be thus proclaimed happened to him. Then we have the Clintons, the two of the together and individually. We’ll see.

I don't understand why vaccination is required to get back to normal. I am very frustrated by this. Lately when I argue that "the vaccine doesn't stop infection or transmission" their response is "well neither does getting infected."

They don't see the disconnect. See the whole reason for the mandates were that it was a incentive to get back to normal. I posted video of talking heads saying that "it stopped infection and transmission" They thought I was arguing that "natural infection" meant no infection.

In the scope of arguments that are silly. This was one of the silliest. I had to backpedal and say.

"On the one hand I am arguing that the advertising for why to get the vaccine was it stopped transmission and infection. But that is not in comparison to natural infection, but rather, the reason why such a vaccine should not be mandated. In fact, that is the only reason I can think of to mandate something." Well one of two reasons. The First reason is, is it deadly enough to warrant broad vaccinated? and second, does it stop transmission and infection."

This whole idea of transmission mitigation wasn't just dreamed up theoretically. We have Fauci, the CDC directior, and others echoing this assertion.

Moving on.

If your mandating it because it lessens symptoms...well isn't that a personal choice? I mean, aren't we all doing things that are detrimental to our health every day, what else should we then mandate in terms of "lessening severe symptoms."

Online I have been wasting too much time on Twitter talking to these people about the vaccine.

The original tweet by a Dr. David Gorski went something like this:

"I like to ask antivaxxers a simple question: What is the longest time after vaccination that an adverse event due to a vaccine has ever been documented? (Hint: It’s *nowhere* near that long. Another hint: It’s way less time than #CovidVaccines have been around.) https://twitter.com/AnneMazza17/st"

My answer was:

Triple Hint, we still don't know. We still don't know all the side effects and adverse reactions from the vaccine.

I think what Gorski is saying here is that for those of us waiting for "long term effects" of the mRNA vaccine, they are already out there. Except that this is an experimental vaccine that uses an experimental technology. We still don't know how long the spike protein lasts in people and where it goes. We know it is in mother's milk, we hear it is playing havok with menstrual cycles. So this idea of "well we already know" is ridiculous.

Heck if I used that same argument regarding masks, I would be calld a grandma killer. If I had asked Gorski's question like this:

"I like to ask pro-maskers a simple question: For how many other upper respiratory diseases were masks required? (Hint: It’s *aside from the Spanish flu, virtually never" . Another hint: It's way less time than masking during Covid has been a strategy)

Yeah, newscasters, politicians, actors and actresses, none of them wear masks. The excuse is "they were tested and vaccinated" but then why doesn't everyone else vaccinated still have to wear a mask? Because, reasons.

I would love to see someone make a movie satire, claim that it stars all the A-list celebrities, but all of the characters are wearing gloves, goggles, masks, and other PPE. You could even splice it together using these famous celebrities dialogue from other movies.

Life has been like living in a Monty Python skit these past three years. Make Monty Python fiction again.

Long before we had the panic to test this, it seemed to me that most people to not listen to learn. They listen for one little word or phrase they can use to attack the speaker with, such as in your example, You are arguing that the reason for the mandate, “It stops transmission.”, was false. They counter with, “Well, neither does infection.” They were just looking for something in your words to use against you. The fact that their argument holds no water does not even enter their minds, if such they have can be called a “mind”.

Madness.

To smoctor (Smart ass doctor) Gorski, I would reply that it is incumbent upon him to prove the necessity, efficacy, safety, and ease of use of the faccine, not upon me to answer any of his foolish questions.

It should say this: "For the sake of all today, reduce your oxygen intake by 30% by wearing something that has no positive effect."

Not sure that is what they intend to say but is closer to what they are saying.

You are living in a totalitarian state when telling the truth becomes an act of courage.

The funny thing is that none of this is by law, but by peer pressure.

I live in a totalitarian country where I could have been arrested had I not worn a slave mask when our corrupted gubmint insisted we must, or had I gone to the deserted beach with no one around for miles during a mandated lockdown due to unwarranted fear regarding a virus with an over 99.8% survival rate, even without treatment.

I don't think these pictures will age well. That is my optimistic view. I was watching a Hugh Jackman movie known as "The Son." The movie follows a son, in present time who is basically isolated, not going to school, and has adopted a bad attitude towards life. There wasn't one masked face in the whole movie. But you know, if you went behind the scenes, the whole crew is still probably masked. I imagine if they included a masked face in the movie...it would have muddied the waters. Because then people would begin to wonder things like.

• Is a mask isolating?

• Couldthe policies of the last three years have something to do with this kid "cutting" himself and not participating in life?

• why doesn't this kid have any friends?

And my guess is that's why this movie endeavors to deal with a real issue like teenage suicide, but is not doing it in an intellectually honest manner The good news is that because there were no masked faces in the movie, there is a reason for it. It's not being celebrated.

Boy oh boy, does this hit on so many things. Aging well?. I no longer know how to even assess this in those terms. I have no idea how long these posters have been up, but posters can be cycled through rather quickly in the stations here. However, it is currently up, after the announcement that mask use will be a personal choice in March and 6 months or so after the recommendation to stop wearing them outside. Talk about mixed signaling.

Throughout all this, I do not recall seeing a single newscaster here wearing a mask. Would not be able to hear them clearly if they did. Admittedly, I do not watch much TV. However, what I have seen is clear panels between guests and hosts with those on stage unmasked, some times with one or two who are not currently speaking wearing masks but all of the audience masked or double masked. On the street interviews of masked man/woman on the street is common though. Early on, new shows where postponed due to covid. Even Pokemon went to reruns as production of it was also halted due to the panic. My son has not watched it since. Lost interest.

Over the new year break there was a commercial depicting life back to normal. Music sessions, drinking, dating, meeting up with friends and family all unmasked, no social distancing nor partitions between people. All that was need for this to again be reality? Get the PF clot shot. I got the damned thing, my wife 4. Means nothing in terms of these things. At this late date with Japan leading the world in clot shot uptake, who do the think they are kidding? We’ll, I guess they are kidding most folks, we few in the stacks being the exception.

I misinterpreted the subway photographs as overt anti-estsablishment commentary demonstrating the lunacy of masking. It didn't even strike me as subversive. We are living in a period when the same image can convey two diametrically opposing views at once.

I doubt very much that the station would put up or allow to remain such an overt act. Could be wrong though.
