Another exciting installment. There was another comedian who made a similar joke about the "Tastes just like chicken" response. It was Bobcat Goldthwait, from Police Academy 2 fame. His response to the response was, "Why don't you just eat chicken? It's the cheapest meat in the world. My response to anyone who was considering taking the jabby jab should have been, "Why don't you just have chicken soup? It's cheap and doesn't cause myocarditis. Speaking of knees, while at a Spanish restaurant with my wife once, there was a leg of Iberian ham on the counter as there usually is in Spanish restaurants. While looking at the salty goodness, she asked me, "Do pigs have knees?" I bring this up every now and then but I change the animal. In fact, about 10 minutes ago, I asked her, "Do swordfish have knees?" I have no idea where I am going with this but it sounds like you are heading in the right direction with your knees--all four of them--facing forward.
The knee is improving. Is this permanent and eventually get to where I no longer need to use DMSO or will I always have to use it? Do not know yet. But will keep ya’ll informed.
“Tastes like Chicken” was repeated by myself and all my friends for much of my childhood. I think it was the standup comic I referenced earlier that got that ball rolling. Someone did.
Wow - this is so cool. As I have been experiencing knee pain for quite some time now, I'm am most interested in every step. You're a wonderful story teller! Gotta get me some DMSO!
I have only been using it for a couple of days. If there are any adverse effects, I have not been using it long enough to tell. But it is doing wonders for my knee.
Yes, I've been following - now I'm wondering what the mechanism of action is - so gotta do some research. 'Cause for all intents and purposes, you don't know what's wrong with your knee, right?
I do know I twisted it horribly. I know there are tears but where and how big I do not. I can guess from where the pain is and has been though. Whatever is wrong, it is going to be consistent with a bad twisting of it.
I have introduced the 99% DSMO gel to my 21yrs old grandson on Friday night.
He injured his lower calf and ankle in a marathon a week ago Sunday. The 'pop' noise he heard and felt resulted in him having to walk the last painful 5 miles of the race. Slightly swollen but no dark bruise at this time.
He reported tingling in the skin after I massaged the gel into his clean skin, but did not have a rash or hives (I was concerned for a possible allergic reaction).
Night two, (last night, Saturday) he applied it himself.
I will report progress for my 79yrs old husband's stiff neck, my grandson's leg as our trials time with yours, K-MC!
Good luck!!
I had a happy side effect: my arthritic hands were less stiff today after giving DMSO massages. I ditched the gloves and scrubbed my hands carefully before and after.
When you put DMSO on, you have to be careful what else you put near your skin because it will be absorbed into your skin as well, including soap!! so do everything first and do the DMS last and again I recommend you use it along with cold pressed organic castor oil
That is why I have been careful. Yet, with everything we come into contact with and with soap and water two of the thing we need to be careful of, it is actually surprising difficult to have nothing else on the skin.
I just put it on again, the 6th time. I have been up for a few hours wearing walking shorts on this cool day to avoid detergent residue and fabric softener from trousers getting on the skin. I did not wash as I will not have the time to do so in the mornings I work and am concerned about absorbing the soap. No burning sensation this time. Well, not zero, but close to it. It’s been about half an hour, so I’ll soon wipe it off and put trousers on.
Castor oil is on my list of things to procure the next time I go out.
Cold pressed may be hard to find here. They may have it but translations may make it difficult. For example, awhile back I looked for apple cider vinegar. All the English/Japanese dictionaries I have, dead tree and online, make no distinction between regular apple vinegar and apple cider vinegar. To be honest, I am not sure there is a difference. Finally did find one source for a bottle labeled as apple cider vinegar. Comes from Italy, I think.
But you know you don’t need to wipe it off. It should just absorb right into your skin unless you’re talking about the castor oil in which case it makes a mess on clothes.!! glad that you’re getting better. It’s pretty magic all sulphur base of course
I edited my last post to include a remark on castor oil, but you saw it before I could post it. I was thinking that I did not need to wipe it off for the reason you give, but, wiping it helps remove most of the burning sensation even 30 or more minutes after I applied it. Just thinking it is better to do so before I give myself a chemical tattoo, not to mention what the dye may do once inside me.
Dye? It makes me wonder what kind of DMSOU are using what I use is completely clear. There’s no dye in it. There shouldn’t be any dye in it. Maybe I should send you a bottle of what I have of that too??
Fantastic results and so quickly!
Very fast. I wish I knew of this and had some on hand for immediate use when I first injured my knee.

Too funny!
Another related one my Dad told was, 'have you heard the one about the hunter of exotic animals arrested for killing a bald eagle?'
I wish I could tell it better, the set up, the premise, etc., but the punchline is the same:
'Tastes like chicken!'

knee anatomy is complex.

Be well everyone.
Yes, please do share. It is important we get stories of those of us who are actually using it. It is supposed to help immensely with arthritis too.

OK, I didn’t see your message about procuring castor oil. That’s good. Glad to hear that. It’s another amazing substance can even grow hair back!!

Dye from my pant leg rubbing against the areas I applied the DMSO to. My DMSO is clear.
Oooooooh!! Hahaha!!! Oops
It's fascinating to watch your progress. Thank you for sharing your experience with DMSO.
