No problem. I sent at least one other after it explaining my take on Lara Logan’s and others comments on it.

Kitsune....Can you somehow send me the explanation about what you think happened with

the Francis Scott Key Bridge incident? When you email a substack, it goes to my SPAM.

I wonder why :-( We know why! I get many emails a day and sometimes it's hard to find

when sent to my Inbox. You wrote such a nice write-up. It's Saturday morning here and

busy. So, I didn't have time to read what your wrote. I know it was very detailed :-)

Thank YOU :-)

Belay my last. Found it. Below are the two responses I earlier sent you.

Unlike vehicles on land, the surface watercraft through moves. If your car loses power, you can still steer it. Harder without power if you have power steering, but you can still steer. When watercraft lose their motive force, be it wind, engine, motor, oar or paddle, the movement of the water and the effects of the wind quickly over power its forward momentum and there is little the crew can do to control the vessels direction. The crew of this ship dropped anchor in hopes it would stop or at least slow the ship to avoid collision or lesson the damage if they could not avoid it.

Several methods to sabotage the ship could be at play here, however. Could have been traditional sabotage against the machinery or control systems. It could have been a sabotaged electronic component either through a computer virus or hacking. But it could have also been through pushing DEI policies that led to crew members standing watches they were not qualified for. However, as the ship lost power and suffered a loss of propulsion sabotage could not have been assured to cause the incident as it happen. These could only have made an incident more likely at some point with unknown consequences because the ship was unsteerable soon after losing propulsion.

I should have added that if this was intentional, especially as a terrorist attacker, they would have turned towards the bridge under power and then all ahead flank speed or whatever the highest speed on a merchantman is called. They would not have dropped anchor and radioed ashore to warn of the possible collision that undoubtably saved many lives. Sadly, not all.

I usually type everything in my Notes app and copy and paste to Substack and keep everything. This was I did not. Do you recall which thread or whose substack it was in? I have been commenting on this issue on several substack.

Hi.....That's the problem. I can't find the thread or the substack. I will keep trying to find.

Can you tell me briefly what you think happened? Did you listen to Lara Logan? I believe

she is telling the truth. Let me know. But, I will still keep looking for the thread. Let me

know on your end, if you find what you previously wrote. Thank YOU....

When I get your emails, they go to SPAM then I have to send to my INBOX to be

able to reply. I can't from the SPAM Folder.

I do not. I am in Japan and have greatly reduced what I listen to from back home. I see that Gen. Flynn, whom I have the greatest respect for has stated that it is a terror attack. Unfortunate, the both of them. We all make mistakes and I think they both are here.

I served in the navy for 6 years. While not in the bridge ever when at sea, I was down in the pit, the engine room. We were trained in not only how to do our immediate jobs but how our actions affect operations throughout the ship and their actions affect ours. I also had a friend who was qualified up to 1st Mate on merchant ships. He loved to tell ship handling stories. One that sticks with me is “RADAR induced” collisions at sea. This MAY fall under technological revenge which I have written about. Not sure it is common enough of a problem to qualify, but it does exist.

After the attack on Pearl Harbor, jittery sentries shot at any movement and sound believing all must be the Japs having returned to take the island. Planes returning from one of our carriers came in with all their lights on in the mistaken belief that this would alert the air defense forces that they were not the enemy. It did not work. I read an account of pilot who managed to land his now shot to hell plane who walked over the the machine gunner near the run way who perforated his plane and in one blow knocked him out.

With all the weirdness of the past 4 years, the increases in industrial accidents, real and imagined, folks are understandably jittery and often misattributing intentionality to real accidents. At present, I think that is what is happening with this event.

No one, including myself, is infallible. We do not get to see all that is known right away, if ever, and must relive on our experience and instincts in addition to what those we trust say. Lara Logan and Gen. Flynn are wrong in my current understanding of the incident but I do not believe them to be liars.

A "Medical School" that has become a joke?

And a bad one at that.

Sorry about your dishwasher, mine has been dead for over a year.

So has my microwave. I may replace it, but Tam hasn't said much.

It is one of those cabinet models, goes over the stove.

I am also sorry about your dishwasher. Mine is sleeping right now. Wait. She just woke up and threw a banana at me. I usually speak out loud while I type. I have to stop that. Anyway, keep on rockin'.
